For the first time, the Bus Passenger Survey is taking place across England, Scotland and Wales at the same time.
Thanks to the support of the Welsh Government and main bus operators, independent watchdog Transport Focus has secured a Wales-wide survey for the first time since 2010.
The Bus Passenger Survey (BPS) is currently underway with fieldworkers on buses during until November, encouraging passengers to take part in the survey.
In total the survey will cover around 50 authority and operator areas in England, plus Scotland and the Wales-wide network. This year the survey will gather the views of over 48,500 passengers across the three nations.
The survey has now become the recognised measure of bus passenger satisfaction and an influential and useful tool for benchmarking and comparing the views of passengers.
Now in its eighth year, the survey has grown in size and coverage to make it even more useful to bus operators, transport authorities and governments.
The survey is helping pinpoint and drive improvements for passengers including new fare deals for passengers, enhanced customer service training for drivers, through to local and national bus company management teams being directly assessed against the results.
Passengers are able to complete the questionnaire either on paper or online.
