EvoBus (UK) Sales Manager Andy Greenway has retired after a 49-year career in the industry, including a latter 19 years of “tireless dedication” to bus sales for the Mercedes-Benz marque.
The latter period saw Andy become instrumental in selling Citaro and Sprinter models to some major operators in the UK and Isle of Man.
He has known no fewer than five Managing Directors of EvoBus (UK) since he joined in June 2002 and is well known for his upbeat personality and can-do approach.
He says: “I rather imagined myself being carried out feet first, so this is definitely preferable to that! My partner is over the moon that I am finally slowing down.”
Current EvoBus (UK) CEO and Managing Director Michael Thielmann has paid tribute to Andy’s commitment to the business. “He leaves big boots to fill by the next generation of sales colleagues, who will not only have to bridge the gap that he leaves, but also focus on the challenge of new products and technologies.
“The weekly Skype coffee mornings with all staff, instigated during lockdown, will seem very quiet without Andy’s contributions. We wish him all the best in retirement and want to thank him for his tireless dedication to the business.”
