Arriva Midlands has made two Network Manager appointments to strengthen its commercial team in the region.

Ryan Charlton (pictured, left) takes up the role for Leicester, Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire, where he will support Area Head of Commercial Toby France. Matt King (pictured, right) has assumed the same position for Derbyshire and the West Midlands, where he will work with Area Head of Commercial Richard Emery.

Both Network Manager appointees joined the Arriva Midlands business in the latter half of 2021. Since then, they have worked on a variety of projects as part of their induction, the operator says.

Speaking about the appointments, Commercial Director Andrew Godley adds: “Ryan and Matt have an essential role to play in ensuring that we continue to evolve in providing customer focused, cost effective and reliable bus networks.

“Having the right networks in place to meet changing customer requirements and emerging travel patterns post-pandemic is vital to rebuilding and continuing to grow passenger demand, and to delivering the Bus Service Improvement Plan vision we share with our local authority partners and other stakeholders.”

Mr King’s industry experience prior to joining Arriva includes time with Go-Ahead, Trentbarton and National Express. Mr Charlton has also previously worked for National Express, and before that airport parking operator Airparks on its transport side.
