Arriva Luton has welcomed 21-year-old trainee Richard Whitfield-Guy, as part of Central Bedfordshire College’s Supported Internship scheme.

Caption

The scheme seeks to enable 16-24 year olds with a statement of SEN, a Learning Difficulty Assessment or an Education, Health and Care Plan to achieve sustainable paid employment.

Richard, who was diagnosed low functioning autism at four, was previously with Arriva for a six-month period as a trainee cleaner. In this role, he learned every aspect of carrying out a full PSV clean. He has now been offered a permanent role.
