Isle of Wight bus passengers gathered to celebrate the birthday of Southern Vectis’ ‘much-loved driver’ Jacqueline Levy.

The unusual gathering, which took place at the George Inn Newport, was recognition of the popular driver’s standing within the community.

She says: “Many my passengers no longer drive – and some don’t get to see and chat to people at other times of the day. I was so pleased to celebrate my birthday with them, and look forward to spending many happy years ahead on the buses with those I consider to be my very good friends.”
