Colin Robertson, Chief Executive of Alexander Dennis (ADL) received his CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Colin was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List earlier this year for services to exports and to the coach and bus manufacturing sector. The award was presented to him by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and recognises his work transforming ADL into the world’s largest double-deck bus manufacturer.
Colin says: “I am delighted and deeply humbled to receive this CBE. I couldn’t have achieved it without the fantastic team I have the privilege of leading at Alexander Dennis.
“This reinforces my commitment to inspire others to be even more entrepreneurial and to support and nurture the fantastic talent we have here in Scotland and in the UK.”
Colin continues to champion opportunities through the company’s apprenticeship scheme as well as a graduate development programme and its Leadership Academy.
