Darren Fuller has been named Aftersales Manager for Irizar e-mobility by Irizar UK in a move that expands its customer support structure as demand for sustainable transport solutions continues to grow.
Mr Fuller brings 27 years’ experience in the coach and bus and HGV sectors, with strong knowledge of technical and operational matters. His career includes periods with employers including DVSA, Lucketts Travel, DAF Trucks, and Babcock.
He is a qualified engineer and a former European tour coach driver. That gives “a unique blend of real-world insight and technical proficiency – qualities that make him ideally suited to support Irizar’s advanced zero-emission vehicle range,” Irizar UK notes.
On his appointment, Mr Fuller says: “I have worked with Irizar products throughout my career and have always respected the brand’s innovation and quality. I am excited to bring my experience to Irizar e-mobility and help to drive success in the UK’s growing EV bus market.”
He continues: “I am honoured to join Irizar, a globally respected leader in sustainable transport. This is an exciting time for the industry, and I look forward to working closely with our customers to help them transition to zero-emission technology with confidence and success.”
The dealership adds that Mr Fuller’s arrival represents further investment in its people and infrastructure as part of a long-term vision to support customers in delivering cleaner, smarter public transport solutions. The ie tram battery-electric bus has already been supplied to Go-Ahead London and an order from Gatwick Airport has been taken.
Adds Irizar UK Head of Aftersales Mark Jordan: “I am delighted to welcome Darren to the Irizar team. Having worked closely with him at Lucketts, I know first-hand the depth of his technical expertise, his commitment to customer service, and his ability to get things done.
“His experience across the PSV and HGV sectors, combined with his understanding of operator needs, will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow our e-mobility offering and support customers through the transition to zero-emission transport.”
