A bus dedicated to a Plymouth school that has “risen from the ashes” has been officially launched.
All Saints Academy has achieved a remarkable turnaround since it was placed in special measures in 2017, with inspectors praising the transformational progress that has taken place under the guidance of Headteacher Lee Sergeant.
Plymouth Citybus has designed the bus especially for the Honicknowle school – raising awareness of the positive changes at the school and helping parents recognise the vastly improving standards of education.
The bus is adorned with a gold phoenix rising along the bus – to symbolise the journey the school is on.
Richard Stevens, Managing Director at Plymouth Citybus, and Chair of Governors at All Saints Academy, said: “We’re very proud to be able to work alongside the school in helping the people of Plymouth understand just how excellent the education facility is now.
“At Plymouth Citybus our local community is so important to us. We’re helping the school to build its reputation and give parents confidence across the city that this is a really good school to send your children to.”
The bus will be driven on multiple routes around Plymouth, promoting the school and its students’ work.
