Passenger transport digital services provider Rise Digital Media has appointed Spandana Makina as Senior Applications Engineer.

Ms Makina brings over 13 years’ experience in systems engineering, with her most recent previous role with Corethree having involved work on digital projects on behalf of clients including Transport for London, First Bus, and Santander Cycles on the London cycle hire scheme.

In addition, she is a qualified Microsoft.Net developer with an Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from Acharya Nagajuna University in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking about the appointment of Ms Makina, Rise Digital Media Director of Operations Chris Nice says: “We are delighted to have Spandana joining our engineering team. Her vast experience and knowledge of business systems and mobile ticketing solutions for transport operations will be invaluable to the ongoing expansion of our research and development teams.

“The last couple of years have shown the vital role that technology and digital solutions have to play in the planning and provision of safe, reliable and efficient passenger transport services.

“Spandana’s appointment further demonstrates our commitment to the passenger transport industry, ensuring that Rise Digital Media remains best placed to help operators to implement digital solutions that help to make coaches and buses a more attractive travel choice for all.”
