Ten engineering apprentices from around Stagecoach UK Bus were rewarded with main prizes, with over 30 apprentices awarded with tool voucher prizes at Stagecoach’s 13th annual Apprentice of the Year ceremony in Manchester in September.
Dan Finch from Worthing Depot, picked up the award for Best College Vote Year 1, having just finished his first year in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programme after joining in September 2016.
Ben Davies who works at the Bar End Garage in Winchester – also progressing with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programme – picked up two awards the first being for Best End of Block Test Results Year 2 and the other for Best College Vote Year 2.
The college vote award is measured by college tutor and assessors on the apprentice’s college theory work and the work based element of the programme.
Both took home tool voucher prizes which were supplied by the award sponsors.
Stagecoach South currently employee 11 engineering apprentices across eight depots in Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey.
The application process for the apprenticeship programme opens in May 2018.
