Stagecoach South Wales is inviting budding engineers to apply for a place on this year’s apprenticeship scheme.

Previous apprentices: Ben McDonald (left), lla Hopkins (middle) and Chloe Jones

The operator is offering places on its four-year-long Bus Engineers’ programme at Porth depot, where the first three years will be spent learning on the job in the depot.

Applications are being accepted between now and 2 June 2017.

Upon completion, successful applicants will be awarded an Advanced Apprenticeship in Bus and Coach Engineering Maintenance, with the opportunity to become a member of the Society of Operations Engineers.

Stagecoach SW Engineering Director Peter Henry says: “We offer one of the best apprenticeship schemes in the industry.

“It’s comprehensive content means at the end of it we have a highly skilled – and qualified – next generation of engineering talent.”
