Stagecoach South has appointed Melanie Keylock as Operations Manager of its Worthing depot.
Melanie switched career paths from law to buses in 2015, joining the two-year Stagecoach Group Graduate training scheme.
The two year Graduate scheme is a generalist leadership programme, developing skills in a number of areas including operations, HR, finance and strategy.
She quickly rose through the ranks, and has two managerial positions at Stagecoach South in Andover and Stagecoach East at Peterborough.
Her first role at the Worthing depot has been to mastermind Stagecoach South’s sponsorship and participation in Worthing Pride 2019. She will now focus on strategic growth and strengthening relationships with the community.
Melanie says: “I’m delighted to be joining such a critical depot to the Stagecoach South network. Stagecoach South has provided me with a wonderful environment to grow in the last four years, and I am very much looking forward to this new challenge.
“I particularly look forward to getting to know the team and building relationships with the key stakeholders, to ensure we work closely together to further help Worthing’s many bus users by giving them the most convenient, reliable and comfortable service possible.”
Gordon Frost, Operations Director of Stagecoach South, says: “Melanie’s track record within Stagecoach Group is hugely impressive.
“The fact that she has risen to such a position in one of our most important depots is reflective of her skill, experience and dedication.”
