Students in School scheme participants from the University of Reading can receive free travel from Reading Buses.
From Wednesday (16 January), eligible university students volunteering to work alongside teachers in local schools for the scheme, will receive assistance. They will be offered two free day tickets and specific route and journey information through the operator’s mobile app to help the students with school visits.
“As students will be making often new or unfamiliar journeys to their allocated school, this is a great way to encourage travel on public transport and make the scheme accessible to as many students as possible,” says Gemma Redson of Reading Buses.
