Ticketer has named Adam Toone as Chief Commercial and Operations Officer. He joins from UrbanThings, where he was Chief Executive, and held the position of Digital Director at Arriva before that.
Mr Toone brings over seven years’ experience in public transport and what Ticketer says is “a wealth” of expertise in that field “and a customer-centric approach to the position.” That sees him succeed former Chief Commercial Officer Richard Blackburn-Hughes, who has stepped down to spend more time with his family following the birth of his second child.
Change to the senior leadership team further strengthens Ticketer’s smart ticketing, fleet management and real-time information proposition ahead of the launch of its VoIP solution, a passenger manifest offering, RIDs devices, and more.
Speaking about the appointment of Mr Toone, Ticketer CEO Kelly Hanna says: “We are thrilled to welcome Adam, whose arrival marks an exciting new chapter.
“I am confident that with his deep knowledge of the industry and passion for innovation, Ticketer will continue to deliver forward-thinking solutions that empower our customers and transform public transport. We thank Richard for his dedication and leadership during his time with us and wish him all the best for the future.”
Adds Mr Toone: “I am excited to step into this role and to join at such a pivotal time for both the industry and Ticketer.
“Coming from the public transport sector and having worked with Ticketer both as a technology partner and at Arriva, I understand the challenges and opportunities that the wider industry faces. I am eager to keep that perspective at the forefront to ensure we remain customer focused and deliver solutions that truly meet the industry’s needs.
“There are a number of exciting developments on the horizon and I am excited to help authorities and operators to achieve their goals and deliver exceptional service to passengers through our latest solutions.”
