C&C Vehicle Services has opened a commercial vehicle accident repair centre near Chesterfield as part of its plans to establish a national network. A further location will follow later this year.
The 6,500ft2 site at Clay Cross has been fitted out at a cost of over £100,000. It has 10 working areas to handle everything from minor repairs to major accident damage and it includes a 16m spray booth.
The operation will be supported by C&C’s larger facilities at Oldham and Wolverhampton, with workflow controlled digitally via the cloud.
C&C has recovery vehicles at the new site, allowing damaged vehicles to be collected and brought for repair. They will also be transferred between locations to deliver the fastest turn-round times, or to Oldham or Wolverhampton for more complex work.
Says MD Mark Newnes: “We identified Derbyshire as a hot spot, making it the perfect location for our second new site this year.
“Our Wolverhampton premises have been open for six months and business is strong. We’ve already grown the size of our team and we’re taking the right steps to achieving our national network ambition.”
