Ticketer reports “huge interest” in its tap on, tap off contactless fare collection solution when it was displayed at the UITP summit in Stockholm.
The concept ensures that passengers pay for the journey they make, rather than a flat fare.
To do so, it requires them to tap on when boarding, and to tap off when alighting. They do not need to state their destination or ticket type, and nor do they need a smartcard.
The function is available across all Ticketer’s machines.
