Equipment in Norwich gives information on services and local attractions

Norfolk County Council (NCC) and Nexus Alpha have deployed an interactive tactile map at Norwich bus station.

Using the Nexus Alpha Low Power Systems’ ARIADNE technology, it helps all users, including those who are visually impaired, to find information about bus services and local facilities..

It has a clear, 3D, tactile image that can be read by touch and which responds via audio.

As it is connected via server, it can also be updated continually with the latest information, and messages from NCC’s transport team.
