Chalkwell Coach Hire is another independent operator to choose software from Omnibus to efficiently build bus timetables and schedules.
21 members of the Sittingbourne business’s fleet of 55 are required for local services. Chalkwell also uses Omnibus consultancy for roadside timetable publicity.
Under the new arrangement, it will replace manual processes with OmniTIMES for compiling complex timetables. OmniBASE will produce accurate vehicle schedules, while CrewPLAN will deliver compliant driver duties. TransXChange tools will facilitate what Omnibus says is “seamless data exchange.”
When combined, the solutions will give Chalkwell the capacity to grow patronage, maximise revenue, improve efficiency and accuracy, and deliver excellent customer service.
Speaking about the decision to go with Omnibus, Chalkwell Coach Hire Managing Director Roland Eglinton (pictured) says: “We currently use spreadsheets for timetables and driver duty cards, which is creating errors and costing more time in the running of the operation.
