Fonix’s m-ticketing system is based on adding payments to users’ bills

Fonix provides a direct mobile operator billing layer for merchants such as bus operators, allowing payments to be made by consumers via their smartphones, including for tickets on rural services.

It allows frictionless, impulsive purchases to be made across a wide range of tariffs for both single transactions and subscription services.

Payments are possible with a couple of clicks, or via SMS, and the costs are charged to the customer’s mobile bill, avoiding the need to use cash or to enter credit or debit card details.
