A tri-party joint venture has been formed with the aim of reducing complexity of toll collection throughout Europe.
Toll4Europe is governed by T-Systems, which brings over 14 years of toll experience to the table. Daimler and DKV are the other partners.
The introduction of Toll4Europe’s toll box is planned for 2018 and it will initially cover Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Poland.
Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Spain will be integrated from the start and other nations will follow in the medium term, it says.
