uTrack Software solutions has partnered with Go-Ahead Ireland to produce a brand-new ‘late running requests’ feature for the bus company’s employee app. The feature is designed to improve efficiency and communication between drivers and managers.

When a driver is due to finish their duty but knows they are not going to finish on time, they can now request overtime through the app. This in turn is hoped to help track patterns of late running, which can feed back into schedule changes and create an easy, efficient way for drivers and colleagues to request overtime.

By ensuring drivers and colleagues are paid correctly for overtime and ensuring better communication with managers, uTrack says it brings a host of benefits, including:

  • Simplification of the overtime pay procedure
  • The ability to amend schedules based on delays
  • Improvement in the speed and reliability of services
  • And real time tracking of late running requests and payments.

uTrack hopes the update to the employee app creates a better working environment for drivers and managers alike.

“We are delighted to be working with Go-Ahead Ireland on a feature that we hope will help solve the problem of tracking late runs and also make it easier for drivers to log their late run overtime,” the company says.
