Warwickshire Travel of Princethorpe has taken delivery of a set of Stertil-Koni ST1075FSA cabled mobile column lifts to support its outdoor maintenance operations.
A height restriction in the operator’s workshop means that lifting tasks are undertaken outside, and so the Stertil-Koni units have been supplied with specialised protective covers to allow them to perform reliably in challenging environments.
Each column can lift 7,500kg. The supplier says that such a capability “makes the lifts ideal for the rigorous demands of servicing large commercial vehicles like coaches and buses.”
It adds that a key benefit of the ST1075FSA product is its ebright Smart Control System. That allows engineers to operate the lifts individually or collectively via user-friendly touch-screen consoles. Such an approach “ensures efficient and hassle-free operation while maximising productivity.”
Speaking about the Warwickshire Travel purchase, a Stertil-Koni spokesperson says that the covers provided with the lifts “are an essential feature, offering protection against the elements and ensuring reliable performance during regular outdoor servicing operations.”
They add: “This tailored solution supports [the operator’s] ongoing commitment to a spotless and well-maintained fleet, reinforcing its reputation for customer satisfaction and safety.”
Each column has an independent mechanical locking system to securely hold vehicles in place, and a microprocessor-controlled synchronisation feature that ensures smooth and precise operation. Efficiency is boosted by rapid lifting, with a height of 185cm being achieved in 75 seconds.
Power is from a standard 415-volt supply. Heavy-duty communication cables are provided to deliver what Stertil-Koni says is “robust connectivity.” Additionally, maintenance-free synthetic runner wheels and a hydraulic pallet truck mechanism make manoeuvring and maintaining the lifts easy.
