New displays for Chester bus interchange

21st Century Technology has designed and manufactured a range of new display units for Chester Bus Interchange.

The displays will have all new features to benefit passengers and the station operator, Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The displays show, in real time, which buses are due. The large screen shows the next buses due and which bay they arrive at, plus connecting rail journey information.

All displays have light sensors to adjust to different light conditions and a sleep feature when not in use; pixel sensors that alert 21st Century if it is faulty; and a vandal sensor which “plays dead” and sends out an email alert if units are attacked.
