Datik was showing how it can bring all technological data together – from vehicle tracking to how many passengers are using the wi-fi – with a single easy-to-use interface, called iPanel.
A cloud-based platform, iPanel can be tailored exactly to the needs of the operator. It can give one point of control to the operator over almost every area of the business – including fleet management, vehicle maintenance, driver monitoring, CCTV and passenger entertainment.
The Spanish company came to the UK last year and has already made good inroads with manufacturers and operators, with plans to launch an in-service trial of its driver fatigue system in the next few months.
The system uses driver-facing and road-facing cameras to detect when drivers are tired or distracted, and allows operators to record incidents.
