Stagecoach East Midlands, Lincolnshire County Council, North East Lincolnshire Council, East Lindsey District Council, Love Lincolnshire Wolds, National Trust, West Lindsey County Council and the Lincolnshire Ramblers have worked together to launch a series of walks, which are focused around the Interconnect bus services.

Seven walks across the Wolds, which have been tested by the Lincolnshire Ramblers, have been specifically designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors.

Walking Guides will be available online and onboard the buses running Interconnect 53, 56 and 100 services.

To celebrate the launch of the Interconnect Bus Walks, walking enthusiasts and families are invited to Gunby Hall, a National Trust property, on 18 July to take part in one of the walks appearing in the guide.

Those who complete the walk will receive a free water bottle and a healthy snack, plus the chance to win Go Outdoors vouchers and talk to Stagecoach East Midlands staff and councillors in attendance.

Matt Cranwell, Managing Director, Stagecoach East Midlands says: “We are delighted to be launching the Interconnect Bus Walks and promoting the beautiful countryside around us.

“Our Interconnect bus services make these amazing walks more accessible and we hope they will appeal to people of all ages and abilities.”

This is the latest initiative from Stagecoach East Midlands focusing on health; the company has just been awarded the ‘Bronze Healthy Workplace’ award and the ‘Leading the Way’ award by North Lincolnshire Council for introducing the health and well-being policies for employees.
