A Metroline ADL Enviro400H caught fire as it pulled away from a bus stop on the Finchley Road, North London, on Sunday (13 August). Passengers on the hybrid reporting hearing “a loud bang.” No-one was injured, but the bus was extensively damaged by the time firefighters managed to put the blaze out. Although the automatic fire supression system operated, it appeared that the fire was electrically based, so it continued to grow.
