Michelin guarantees commercial vehicle tyres against accidental damage

Two years after launching an accidental tyre damage guarantee for its commercial vehicle ranges, Michelin says it has received a claim rate of just 0.59%.

That demonstrates product quality, it adds. The guarantee promises a refund for accidental damage suffered before a tyre is 50% worn, provided it has been registered on the Michelin MyAccount web portal within one month of purchase.

Accidental damage is defined as making a tyre unusable. It does not include that suffered through road accidents, vandalism, fire and natural disasters.
