I noticed an interesting conundrum the other day.
I was driving a coach from East Lancashire to Kendal along the A65 in North Yorkshire.
While passing through Cowan Bridge, I noticed painted in the road were 40mph signs.
Interestingly, on the lampposts were 30mph signs.
Very confusing as I had just passed a community speed camera van. Fortunately, I had seen the lamppost signs and was doing under that limit.
I do wonder how many drivers have been caught speeding while adhering to the painted signs in the road. Clearly the painted signs had not been removed after an apparent speed limit deduction.
