Stagecoach has appointed Henry Young as Operations Manager at its Chichester depot, joining the West Sussex depot after serving as Duty Manager at Cwmbran.
The appointment forms part of a career progression through the operator’s graduate programme and operational management roles in both Wales and England.
In a previous role as Interim Operations Manager at Aldershot, he supported the introduction of electric buses while developing his leadership experience.
In his new position, Young will lead the Chichester depot team, with a focus on building on the depot’s existing strengths, driving operational performance and delivering high standards of service for both customers and colleagues.
He says: “I’m really excited about the opportunity at Chichester. It’s a great depot with a brilliant team already in place, and everyone I’ve met has been incredibly welcoming.
“My aim is to work with the team, build on the good work that is already happening here and help the depot perform at its very best. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead and continuing to provide a great service for the people of Chichester.”
Carol Sim, Operations Director for Stagecoach South, says Young has demonstrated “real ambition, dedication and leadership ability” throughout his time with the operator.
“He has embraced every opportunity to develop his operational experience, from supporting electrification in Aldershot to leading teams through periods of change,” she adds.
“We’re delighted to see him take on this role at Chichester and are confident he will make a positive impact.”
Young joined Stagecoach through its graduate programme after studying Business Management at Swansea University.
