Go South Coast subsidiary Morebus has received five Enviro400 double-deckers, supplied by Alexander Dennis (01909 551166).
They follow 41 Enviro200 single-deckers that were delivered in 2018. Both underline the operator’s commitment to using the latest technology across its region, says MD Andrew Wickham.
The new buses will be used on service 13 between Bournemouth and Wimbourne.
“I’m delighted that we have been able to invest £8m in our Morebus fleet. We would not have been able to embark on that commercial venture were it not for the high demand that we have experienced.”
The Enviro400s have USB charging points. They also have with more space in which passengers can relax or work.
“Our aim is to make bus travel even more attractive to those living in Dorset, encouraging them to leave their cars at home. We are already seeing an increase in passenger numbers in the region.
“Additionally, these new buses will hopefully play a part in reducing congestion in Bournemouth,” he adds.
