Whitelaw’s Coaches has become the inaugural Scottish operator to take delivery of a 9900, supplied by Volvo Bus (02476 210250).

The Stonehouse operator was also the first north of the border to take an example of the earlier 9700. It is the long-standing relationship between Whitelaw’s Coaches and Volvo that has seen it return, says MD Sandra Whitelaw.

“While we have coaches with bodywork from other manufacturers, our preferred choice is to have a Volvo integral. We believe it delivers the complete package with its aesthetic appearance and fuel economy.

“The 9900 has a very different and impressive look with its Z-shaped styling on the windows. Our passengers really like it when they see it for the first time.”
