Warrington’s Own Buses has appointed Mike Tickle as its new Training and Wellbeing Co-ordinator to reinforce a commitment to fostering positive workplace culture.

Mike brings a background in senior management and a passion for sports coaching to the role. His career includes seven years in senior management with roles at Subway and Starbucks, as well as 20 years as a level 2 rugby league coach, where he contributed to grassroots rugby development in the UK and Canada.

Mike is also an enthusiastic amateur runner sand has completed numerous competitive runs and four Ultra Marathons.

“Past negative experiences make me keen to assist anyone who may be struggling or uncomfortable in their role,” he says. “We spend a significant portion of our lives at work, so if we can make it easier for anyone, then that’s the goal. Bridging the gap between employee and employer, we all want to be happy and successful at work. We all work for the same company; let’s all make it a success together.”

Katie Ferguson, Operations Director at Warrington’s Own Buses, adds: “Mike’s appointment as Training and Wellbeing Coordinator is a pivotal step in our journey towards creating a supportive and inclusive work environment. His diverse background and commitment to employee welfare align perfectly with our values. We believe his leadership will further embed and continue the positive culture change at Warrington’s Own Buses.”
