The Vamooz app – a one-stop-shop for suggesting trips and booking tickets – is coming to the northeast as it has teamed up with local operator Stagecarriage.

Stagecarriage Commercial Manager Scott Cooper says: “We’re excited to be joining Vamooz and that through the project we’re going to be able to put new bus trips on locally.

“We’re already planning trips to Sunderland Airshow and other local events.

“We are speaking to businesses about home-to-work buses for their staff. It will be great to find out where else people want us to go next.”

Vamooz is already being used in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Reading, Liverpool and Birmingham to crowdfund new home-to-school and home-to-work services as well as trips to events sports fixtures and destination.

Customers suggest where they want to go, then help crowdfund the trips by sharing on social media with their friends and family, saving themselves money as more people book.
