Xplore Dundee will relaunch its X90 Airport Xpress service to Edinburgh Airport from Monday 21 June. The restart after a period of suspension will introduce a new green and turquoise livery and more modern coaches that are compliant with Euro VI.
Initially the service will operate every three hours, 24 hours a day. The operator says it will monitor demand as scope for air travel increases and adapt the timetable as needed.
Adds Xplore Dundee Managing Director Christine McGlasson: “We are excited to finally be able to bring back this service and restore a valuable public transport connection to the airport for people venturing on holiday, travelling to visit family or making business journeys.
“Prior to the pandemic, the X90 was extremely popular and I really hope that as more and more travel is allowed by the government that we will soon see customer demand increase.”
Xplore Dundee launched its X90 Airport Xpress in June 2019, subsequently reporting that more than 11,000 journeys were booked in little over a month after that date.
