Barnes Coaches takes a new VDL Futura FDD2

The distinctive new VDL Futura FDD2 for Barnes seats no fewer than 94

Swindon-based Barnes Coaches has taken delivery of a VDL Futura FDD2, supplied by Moseley in the South (01823 653000).

The 14.1m double-decker has no fewer than 94 VDL Class 90 seats with two-point belts, and each one has a USB charging socket.

Staircases have LED step edging, while a toilet on the lower deck is complemented by a drinks dispenser and a kitchen area. Entertainment is from a Bosch Professional Line system.

Twin tree guards are fitted to protect the upper windscreen, while power is from a DAF MX-13 engine developing 510bhp.
