Bluebird Coaches of Weymouth has purchased two VDL Futura FHD2s, supplied by Moseley in the South (01823 653000).

Both are 12.9m models with a comprehensive interior specification. They include 53 seats, a centre sunken toilet, USB charging points all round and wi-fi connectivity.

DAF’s latest-generation MX-11 engine powers the coaches. In one it is in 370bhp form, while in the other it is rated at 410bhp.

The ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox has been specified in both, and they also each have cherished registration marks.

Gemma Hoare of Bluebird Coaches took delivery of the VDLs from Moseley in the South’s Area Sales Executive Graham Messenger.

They complement a similar but 57-seat Futura FHD2 delivered to the Dorset operator in 2018.
