BorderBus of Beccles has taken delivery of a high-capacity Enviro400 double-decker, built and supplied by Alexander Dennis.
It is a first of its type to join the Suffolk operator as a new vehicle and complements various other Alexander Dennis products within the fleet.
85 high-backed seats are fitted along with polished alloy wheels and a cherished registration mark. Regional Sales Manager Martin Dunleavy handled the sale for Alexander Dennis.
Speaking about the purchase, BorderBus Managing Director Andrew Pursey says: “With passenger numbers on our local bus routes, including our flagship 146 service [between Southwold and Norwich], continuing to grow, the Enviro400 offers us a great package with additional seats over our existing fleet.
“Thank you to Martin Dunleavy for ensuring that the bus was ready on time and for the fantastic hospitality when visiting the Scarborough site.”
Adds Mr Dunleavy: “I am happy to have been able to assist Andrew Pursey with purchasing a new Enviro400. This bus takes the passenger experience on BorderBus’s routes to a new level while also boosting capacity for busy journeys.”
