LandFlight Travel Services of Solihull has added further Yutong vehicles to its fleet in the form of a GT12 trio, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach. They sit alongside a battery-electric TCe12 that the business has also received this year.
The GT12s each have 53 seats that are finished in half-leather with red trim. Success for LandFlight with a smaller Yutong TC9 purchased in 2019 led to the GT12 order. The new diesel-powered coaches have the DAF MX-11 engine developing 450bhp driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
Pelican says that experience thus far of the four 2023 Yutong vehicles by LandFlight has shown the operator that they “are exceeding expectations.”
The TCe12 is a 50-seater that is charged from a 42kW mobile outlet via a three-phase supply at the operator’s depot. Its zero-emission nature key to securing the contract upon which it is deployed and it is the first such coach in the West Midlands.
