Holmeswood Coaches has taken delivery of its first new Alexander Dennis buses in the form of six Enviro200 models, supplied by the manufacturer.
They are 8.9m examples that seat a maximum of 30 passengers and are completed to the builder’s stock specification. That includes high-backed SmartSeats trimmed in Camira moquette, and Altro wood-effect flooring.
Speaking about the delivery, Holmeswood Coaches Manager Dominic Aspinall says: “Having won an additional Lancashire County Council-subsidised contract, the time was right to invest in a new fleet of midibuses to futureproof the 110/112 service routes moving forward.
“The Enviro200 from Alexander Dennis offered us a great combination of capacity, accessibility and operational excellence, and the buses are proving popular with our customers and drivers.”
SmartPack efficiency technology is fitted to the vehicles to maximise fuel efficiency and to ensure Low Emission Bus certification from Zemo Partnership.
Adds Alexander Dennis Regional Sales Manager Simon Wood: “We are delighted to welcome Holmeswood Coaches to the growing number of operators counting on the Enviro200 for its local bus services.
“I am sure that these six buses will be great performers in the Holmeswood fleet.”
