53-seat accessible VDL FHD2 for Johnson Bros was handed over at EBE

Johnson Bros Tours has updated its fleet with a wheelchair-accessible VDL Futura FHD2, supplied by Moseley (PCV) (01977 609000).

The 12.9m coach was handed over to Scott, Anthony and Lee Johnson at Euro Bus Expo. It has 53 Class 300 seats with leather inserts along with three-point belts, drop-down tables and foot rests.

Eight pairs are on quick-release tracking. When combined with a side-mounted lift above the rear axle, that allows the carriage of up to four wheelchair users.

A Bosch Professional Line entertainment system along with twin 19in monitors is fitted. Passengers also benefit from a centre sunken toilet, a water boiler and a fridge.

Power is from a DAF MX-11 engine developing 370bhp coupled to a ZF EcoLife gearbox.
