41 new E200 MMCs for routes M1 and M2 in Poole and Bournemouth

Go South Coast (GSC) subsidiary Morebus has taken delivery of the first of 41 new Enviro200 MMCs for services M1 and M2 between Bournemouth and Poole, supplied by Alexander Dennis (01909 551166).

Representing an investment of £7.2m, the new buses come with wi-fi, USB charging and contactless payment facilities.

“We know just how important it is to make sustainable transport a more attractive proposition in order to entice people out of their cars. This investment is a huge step in that direction,” says GSC Managing Director Andrew Wickham.

“Reducing congestion and helping to improve air quality is a responsibility that we all share, and we’re delighted to report that  these new buses are cleaner than the latest generation of diesel cars.”
