Orion Travel of Manchester has taken delivery of its first ever new vehicle in the form of a PSVAR compliant Yutong GT12, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.

It has the usual GT12 refinements including mood lighting, a Bosch entertainment system and USB and 240v charging points. 53 seats are fitted, dropping to 49 when a wheelchair user is aboard.

Accessibility is via a Hidral Gobel lift in the luggage bay behind the front axle, while a further part of the PSVAR specification is destination displays with white LEDs.

Power comes from the DAF MX-11 engine rated at 450bhp driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox. Axles are also from ZF. The new Yutong with Orion Travel is set off by a personalised registration mark.
