Intangles has made its Euro Bus Expo debut with the launch of its predictive maintenance solution for fleet operators, lauded following its win at this year’s Innovation Challenge.
The solution, proven across global markets including India and North America, uses an AI-based predictive maintenance system and digital twin technology to deliver real-time date-driven insights to help fleet operators stay ahead of maintenance issues, reduce vehicle downtime and optimise fleet performance.
The platform harnesses data from vehicle sensors and creates a digital replica that can be accessed through a web-based platform. The twin allows for the monitoring of the real-time health of every fleet asset, allowing users to catch maintenance issues before they become urgent, as well as giving them an understanding of how to optimise vehicle use. The system comes with driver behaviour telematics and geolocation (including geofencing and alerts) as standard.
Director of Product Management in North America Craig Vanderheide (pictured, right) reveals the predictive maintenance process is backed by 60TB of “highly refined data” that uses the laws of physics to predict the effects that external and internal factors will have on components, making the system much more accurate than static PMI schedules which normalise vehicles to a single pattern. The supplier says its customers have reported efficiency savings of 2-3% overall, supplemented by a parts cost reduction.
The system works across OEMs, with over 2,000 powertrains supported, and on vehicles of all ages equipped with CAN bus.
“Launching Intangles in the UK is an exciting milestone as we bring our proven, innovative solutions to a market that is ready for digital transformation,” says Thomas Sebastian, Managing Director at Intangles UK Private Lab (pictured, centre). “Our predictive maintenance platform empowers fleet operators with actionable insights, helping them manage fleets more efficiently, avoid costly breakdowns, and significantly reduce their carbon footprint. We’re confident that our solutions will be a game-changer for UK fleet operators navigating the pressures of today’s challenging landscape.”
