A bus driver has been told he can go ahead with a legal claim for unfair dismissal against Arriva London North, after a judge decided his case was not out of date.
Mr Norman Trstena claimed he had been unfairly dismissed by the firm and made his legal claim at East London Hearing Centre.
There had been a query over the registration date of his claim. Legal claims have to be registered within a three-month deadline and only in certain circumstances can a Tribunal allow them to go ahead outside the time limit.
Now, Judge Foxall has decided at a preliminary hearing that Mr Trstena can go ahead with his claim at a full Tribunal hearing at a later date, following a conciliation hearing.
Details of the alleged dismissal were not revealed, but the firm is understood to be planning to oppose the claim.
