Optare has become a sponsor of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), which marks its 60th anniversary of its founding this year

It has provided a Tour Support Van wrapped in iconic Lancaster and Spitfire images that will accompany the BBMF during the display season.

The BBMF aims to maintain the priceless artefacts of our national heritage in airworthy condition to commemorate those who served and fell for their country, promote the modern-day Air Force and inspire future generations.

Flown by regular serving RAF aircrew, the BBMF operates six Spitfires, two Hurricane Mk 2Cs, a Lancaster and a C47 Dakota display aircraft.

Optare Commercial Director Robert Drewery says: “The BBMF embodies the values and excellence that we aspire to bring to every part of our business.  We are proud and honoured to be supporting the Flight.”
