Nottinghamshire tour operator All About Tours is opening its own travel shop with a twist.
With an official opening by the local mayor planned for 3 April, Coach Café will be a combined travel shop and coffee shop, giving All About Tours’ clients a place to enjoy high-quality coffee and cake at lower-than-high-street prices.
Open to everyone, All About Tours’ Director Martin Laver hopes that the Long Eaton café will also attract members of the public using the nearby amenities, including the bus station, supermarket and pharmacy. By getting more people into the coffee shop, he hopes the All About Tours name will spread to more potential customers.
“The space is bigger than we need just for the travel shop, so it lends itself to a secondary business, and a coffee shop is a viable use of the space,” Mr Laver tells Group Tourism & Travel.
“Customers like to see us face-to-face, which they’re not able to do at the moment. They’ll travel to Long Eaton just to see us when they book their tours.
“And this means they’ll enjoy it even more. We’re aiming for top-quality in the café – we do quality holidays, so we want to make sure the coffee is fresh Italian ground coffee, the cake is really good cake. It’s good value, but good quality.”
All About Tours launched in April 2017 and has gone through steady growth since, reporting strong bookings for the 2018 season.
