Coach booking comparison website Coach Hire Comparison is celebrating the “busiest six months in its history” following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions this year.
The Derbyshire-based supplier, which works with 160 independent coach and minibus operators across the UK, says it provided more than 42,000 quotes between April and September, with 9,000 quotes issued in August alone.
The quotes issued covered a broad range of travel requirements, from corporate and school work to events, leisure and airport transfers.
Founder James Stokes puts the rise in demand to a 2020 rebrand and a bounceback in travel demand after COVID-19 restrictions were eased.
Now, Coach Hire Comparison is preparing for further growth and for improvements to customer experience and company processes.
“There is still huge untapped potential for the business,” says Mr Stokes. “Thousands more independent minibus and coach hire companies have begun, or will soon be, cranking up their operations as the pandemic hopefully wanes.
“We are proud that we have carried on in business throughout the pandemic and are now looking to drive growth through the introduction of new technology and website features as well as increasing the number of operators with which we work.
“We expect the upward trend to carry on for the rest of 2021 and for 2022 to be our busiest year ever.”
