Lucketts Travel introduced three commuter coach routes branded Whiteley Connect on Monday (30 September). They serve Whiteley Business Park in Hampshire.

The services are operating free of charge this week. Beyond that, the company will charge no more than £2.50 per trip. Contactless payment technology is fitted, and the coaches used have toilet facilities along with wi-fi and USB charging points.

MD Tony Lawman says that besides reducing congestion, the new services benefit commuters and will also help companies based on the business part to attract staff.

“Knowing that it’s easy to get to and from places of employment plays a big factor in people’s decision of where to work,” says Mr Lawman.
