A Reading Buses driver has been awarded Star of the Month after going the extra mile for stranded passengers.
Davina Pullen had finished her shift when she gave the passengers a lift home when a service run by another company left them at the bus stop.
The scheduled driver put up their ‘not in service’ sign and drove away without giving any of the waiting passengers information about the cancellation.
One of the passengers subsequently nominated Davina as Star of the Month.
Caroline Anscombe, Reading Buses HR Director, says: “We are always amazed by how far some of our employees are willing to go to help out our customers.
“Davina not only went further than most, it was for people who were not even waiting for one of our services.
“This is exactly why we think our drivers are the best in the business.”
