East Riding of Yorkshire Council has completed another major investment with Mellor (01706 860610) in the form of eight Mercedes-Benz Sprinters with accessible Strata high-floor bodies.
Each has a powered single-leaf glider door with a manual fold-out step and double rear doors. 14 Phoenix Blenheim seats are fitted and two wheelchair users can be carried.
Says Fleet Services Manager Carl Gillyon: “We were looking for comfort, accessibility and cost-effectiveness when updating our fleet, and that is exactly what we got.
“We can now deliver essential transport services more effectively thanks to the ne Stratas.”
